Relationships of this kind can help you come to terms with things and stop you worrying about being deaf. Just because you cannot hear, this is no reason for you to be held back from getting out there and exploring every corner of the globe. Adopting this positive attitude and state of mind is very important and being a part of the deaf culture will teach you things you are sure to be able to take with you and put to good use for the rest of your life.

There is so much to be gleaned from being a part of the deaf culture and as you reach out to others and talk to the people around you, you will learn to understand that you are not the only one traveling down this path. It will not be long before you are the one helping someone else to find their own place within the deaf culture.
